I created these conceptual album covers using some photographs I took of dried leaves a while back. I drew sketches of a few instruments and overlaid the sketches on a new layer on top of the leaf images in Photoshop. I wanted to see if some of the natural shape of the leaf could be kept, while clearly showing the type of instrument I had chosen to convey. The results were quite interesting, but the execution needs more work, the photographs need to be of a higher resolution to capture more detail. Another one I think I will revisit sometime.
